When Paypal announced that they allowed funds to be credited into the VISA credit card or VISA Debit prepaid card, everyone who did paid posts welcome this piece of news with joy. Although I normally withdraw my paypal funds using my VMI card without any problem, I went blog hopping to some other blog and found out that 5xmom’s Make$ Money$ blog (I’m a silent reader, wakaka) had added her Al-Rahji Bank debit card.

I itchy hand went to Al-Rajhi Bank Sri Hastamas branch to open a saving account (which come with the VISA debit card) and added it into my paypal. I made a withdrawals of USD135 on 18/10/07 from my paypal account and waited patiently for the funds to arrived. After a couple of days while I was blog hopping, my hope to withdrawal funds into Al-Rajhi debit card was dashed when I came to know from Blog Marketing Malaysia that they don’t accept debit card from Al-Rahji Bank.

I called up Al-Rajhi Bank call center at toll free 1 300 82 6000 23/10/07 to enquire if they have receive fund from paypal to be credited to my account. A very helpfull sweet lady named Ms Caly picked up my call and she confirmed that they have not receive funds from Paypal to be credited in my account. I told her that I had made a paypal withdrawals of USD130 and is expecting this money to come in. I told her that Paypal had sent the money on the 20/10/07 which showed completed in the statement.

I told her to check with their HQ card center to enquire and asked her to call me back which she did after a about an hour. Still there is no funds from paypal and she told me that they will monitor my account and once the money comes in they will credit my account.

Today, 25/10/07 about 10.00 am, while I was driving to my client office, the same girl (Ms Caly) called me on my hand phone informing me that they have already receive the funds yesterday (24/10/07 USA date) and will credit my account today. I came back to login online my Al-Rajhi Bank statement and yes indeed it has been credited. The rates is not so convincing though!
